We are delighted to invite you to join us in celebrating Holi 2026, the Festival of Colours organised by The Student's Union in collaboration with Southlands College, WeDesi - Roehampton Desi Society and The Gurkhas - Nepalese Society. The celebrations will be split into two separate events on different days.
Holika Dahan will take place on Tue 3 Mar on Froebel Lawn. It is a Hindu tradition in which a bonfire is lit to celebrate the burning of the demoness, Holika. This ritual is symbolic of victory of good over evil.
Followed on Wed 4 Mar by Dhuleti, a festival of colours on Southlands Quad. Dhuleti celebrates spring, new life, and the love story of Radha and Krishna, revered Hindu deities symbolising divine love.
What to expect:
Holika Dahan - The Bonfire Night
(Tue 3 Mar, 17:00-20:00, Froebel Lawn )
Dhuleti - Festival of Colours
(Wed 4 Mar, 15:00-18:00, Southlands Quad)
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Each event has seperate tickets. Please ensure you buy the correct one (or both) should you wish to attend!
If you have any questions, please email rsu@roehampton.ac.uk
We warmly encourage all students to join us to celebrate these special events. We look forward to seeing you there.
