Chicken Coop,
Come and join us at the chicken coop to become a chicken care volunteer and help look after our on-campus hens!
Join us to train as a chicken care volunteer and help us keep our flock of rescued and rehomed hens happy and healthy. We will show you around the coop, introduce you to our hens, explain the daily tasks and how to sign up for a day of chicken care through our flexible online volunteering calendar.

Venue Accessibility:
Access to the chicken coop is step free, however the inside of the coop is not accessible for wheelchair users. Due to the natural terrain, the ground may be uneven.
The hen house has restricted accessibility for people with back or mobility issues when it comes to mucking out or transporting items such as the drinker. However, these tasks can be omitted by attendees – at the event, please let our Sustainability Coordinator, know of any accessibility issues and they will be more than happy to support you!
Lighting:
As the chicken coop is outdoors, lighting will be weather dependent. In good weather, the coop is in the sunlight but there is shade inside of the hen house.
